William Henderson and B. McGraw talk about immigration.  How much immigration is there?  Where are immigrants coming from? What’s the difference between illegal immigration and asylum?  This is Part 1 of 3 episodes.

We first talk about which countries people emigrate out of, and which ones they immigrate to. We discuss the percentage of the US population which is foreign born, and how this has changed over the years. Then we go over different citizenship and immigration schemes, such as birth right citizenship, blood-based citizenship, temporary foreign worker status, and more. We then go over the ethnic and national makeup of immigrants to the United States. We discuss the current surge in asylum applications, the difference between asylum and illegal immigration, and why exactly there seems to be a large increase in such applications.
